Happy New Year! (If it’s not too late to say that!) We’re about halfway through the first month of the new year now, and I’ve been having a big think about what I want to get out of this year. Here are my goals for 2018…
But First, Reflecting on my 2017 Goals
Last year I wrote my 2017 goals blog post where my two biggest goals were to 1. Graduate and 2. Get a job in marketing. I’m so pleased that after four years of hard work, I graduated with 1st class honours and began my career in marketing by getting a Marketing Assistant position in a B2B events company.
What I Want to Achieve This Year
- Enhance my marketing skills. Now I’ve got my foot on the marketing ladder, I’m hoping to attend more industry events, make new connections, and learn more about marketing by doing some qualifications/online courses.
- Read more. This is the same goal I made last week, but with focusing on my uni assignments for the first half of the year and then starting a new job in the second half of the year, I haven’t spent as much time reading as I would have liked! I’m aiming to read at least one new book a month.
- Explore London. In the beginning of December I moved to London with my boyfriend, and this year I really want to explore the more quirky and different types of things to do in London. If you have any suggestions, let me know!
- Blogging. This blog is a hobby of mine which I really enjoy doing (and I’ve now been blogging for two years already!) This year I hope to write more content as well as experiment with the visual designs of it.
